Statement of the United Transitional Cabinet of Belarus regarding the publications of Volha Karpushonak

A number of messages have appeared in the public space under the name of Volha Karpushonak containing accusations against the Deputy Head of the United Transitional Cabinet, Pavel Latushka.

At this moment, no facts or evidence have been presented to support these accusations. It is also impossible to verify whether these statements were made voluntarily, without external pressure or influence.

Given that the regime’s security services are systematically conducting a campaign to discredit the Belarusian democratic forces and their representatives (including Pavel Latushka), we regard the publications of Volha Karpushonak as part of this campaign.

The United Transitional Cabinet reaffirms its full trust and support for Pavel Latushka and calls on civil society and international partners to approach such information attacks with critical consideration.
